Position Highlights
Government and External Affairs is hiring a Stakeholder Relations Advisor to join their team in North Vancouver. Stakeholder engagement is the process by which you organize, monitor and improve your relationships with your stakeholders. In this role, you will develop and design plans and supporting materials for the implementation of stakeholder-related activities in alignment with corporate and business area goals.
You are a diplomatic, self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a track record of supporting the implementation of stakeholder strategies and coordinating stakeholder engagement efforts. You have experience applying your knowledge of government and public-sector stakeholder engagement principles, best practices and methodologies to develop effective results.

As Stakeholder Relations Advisor, you will:

•Support the development and direction of the corporate stakeholder relations’ strategy through consultation with others in the department and with leaders and business units/regions, ensuring alignment with corporate/divisional goals
•Provide advice to leaders and relationship managers on initiatives, issues or concerns
•Identify, build and maintain trusting, strategic business relationships with key stakeholders; endeavor to align stakeholder and ICBC interests
•Support relationship managers who have external relationships with stakeholder groups in the delivery of stakeholder relations initiatives
•Produce targeted stakeholder outreach and communications related to ICBC operations, including presentations and
communications materials that engage stakeholder groups.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

•Proven experience within stakeholder relations / government relations / communications departments.
•Direct experience supporting the development and implementation of stakeholder consultation plans, including experience facilitating stakeholder consultation sessions, working groups and other stakeholder activities (preferred)
•Excellent writing skills, with proven experience producing a range of stakeholder outreach and communications materials
•Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in communications, business, marketing or relevant discipline, or an equivalent
combination of training, education and experience
•Familiarity with the current legislative and regulatory environment, government structure, and political relationships and practices.
