On Wednesday, June 11, please join us in celebrating another year with your fellow Public Relations peers. Held in the beautiful Salon Rooms at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, this is going to be a fantastic year-end event. And yes, there will be food and drink too.
Don’t let the “annual general meeting” turn you off – we have plenty of news to share. Following our report of the year in review of the Chapter, we will be hosting a senior practitioner Game Show Panel.
Come share some laughs, and cheer on these top PR pros as we challenge them to think on their feet and pitch communications strategies, while asking the question, “What Would You Do”? Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the panel during the game.
Here’s a little sneak-peek of who you’ll see there.
Rebecca Peters, Vice President, Communications and Corporate Relations, Laura Ballance Media Group
It’s been said that Rebecca never met a story she couldn’t pitch to media outlets across the province and country. Her knowledge of the inner workings of media comes from nearly a decade in the newsroom at Global BC, and today, she works with newsrooms locally, nationally and internationally on a daily basis – getting stories told that make a difference. Rebecca has extensive experience in communications strategy, execution and media outreach with a wide range of clients including the Vancouver Economic Commission, GLOBE Foundation of Canada, Forest Products Association of Canada, Squamish Valley Music Festival, Ivanhoe Cambridge, New Car Dealers Association of BC, and more.
Linda Bilben, Partner, REPUTATIONS
Linda’s creative approach to reputation management is illustrated in successful public relations, communications and corporate branding programs for some of Canada’s best known institutions and brands. Her most notable work includes award-winning branding and communications management programs for BC Place, Canada Place and the Vancouver Canadians, as well as issues and crisis communications management programs for multiple BC municipalities and tourism properties. Linda has provided strategic counsel, media analysis and media training services to the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Blue Shore Financial, Providence Health Care and the Vancouver Airport Authority.
